Subspecies Lore
The Magmaborne are led by Hyperion, eldest of their kind. These dragons are known for their ritualistic nature, indoctrinated at birth with a pilgrimage to bathe in the lava pools in each subregion of the Ashfall Wastes that ends in The Great Furnace. During their pilgrimage they are also imbued with the qualities of a warrior, strength of mind, willpower, spirit and body. They are known for being incredibly patient, but swift to brutal and effective action if the situation calls for it. It is said that each subsequent dip strengthens their natural armor, causing them to resemble the flow of lava, and the older they get, the stronger their armor becomes. They are proud warriors, one and all, ritualistic in their worship and their training. Each morning they wake, commence a ritual lava bath and cleansing, and flow through the motions of their individual fighting styles (though all tend to resemble each other, each will carry its own special flair to how they fight).

Subspecies Lore 2
There are those who leave the Ashfall Wastes to join the fights of other deities, but even these are said to make trips back to the places they were born in order to maintain their lustrous armor (it is rumored that those who do not eventually lose their fiery color and fade, though nobody has ever seen this happen). Sometimes, dragons of other elements will bring their young to be trained as Magmaborne, though these will never attain the same status as their fiereborn brethren, and will only be referred to as Magmaborne as an honorary title.
