Biography
While the rain kept on falling mercilessly, Seabed occupied his mind. He had been traveling for months now, but he still didn't manage to find it. Slowly he wondered if his Charge was too far away from him, or if perhaps he is simply too stupid to notice it.
Nah, that wouldn't be it. Someone so stupid wouldn't manage to survive more than 8 months on his own.
Yet he still didn't feel some sort of special attraction for anyone or anything. Although he was still very much a young dragon, he feared the possibility of dying for whatever reason before finding that mythical Charge, and that would be an insult among insults, and not just for him.
Many months later, he thinks he might've stumbled upon something. From a high cliff he climbed for days he came to a view of the vast sea. And upon seeing it, he felt something pinch at his heart.
Something or someone was waiting for him over there. He could finally feel it.
It couldn't be... I mean... With it's size... Could it really...
I mean, it's usually just some aspect, some creature, a thing, a dragon, a small meadow or something but this... This time...
But there was no doubt about it. His heart told him so.
"You really want me to guard the whole sea?!"
As he stood there utterly bewildered while the waves lapped at his feet, he felt like he has gone mad. There is no possible way to guard all this vast space. One of him. Just one.
But then he saw the sun setting at the horizon and it took his breath away.
And so he stayed for the night.
It's been three months now. He met many others; most live here. Some share their Charge with his.
The water is blue and mesmerizing, the depths vast and full of life.
In the end, it is worth sticking around. Worth guarding this area.
And he doesn't have to do it alone.
