Craven

Craven used to be called Raven, both for the feathery patterns on his wings and the shape he could assume. But he had a bad habit, see - any time things got difficult, he’d make a run for it. Didn’t matter the situation, whether it was a bar fight or merely someone sending an unkind glance in his direction, Raven would take flight as fast as his wings could carry him. His mother had warned him, when he was still a hatchling, that ravens were often confused with crows, who were bad omens, and he should always be vigilant.

He was never going to be a great fighter - he was far too skittish for a warrior’s mantle to sit well on his twitchy shoulders. But he did make a fantastic lookout, provided he could remember to sound an alarm before bolting for safety.
