Mockingbird

Once upon a time there were two floofylufpaws named Osprey and Crow who more than anything wanted to have hatchlings together, but neither of them could lay eggs. Then they realized that, with some patience, and some luck, and quite a bit of help from their chosen family, they could have grandhatchlings together.

Three of those grandhatchlings were Mockingbird, WhiteRaven, and Shadowwing. These three sisters all hatched together in the same nest at the same time and from the shell on nothing could keep them apart. One day when they were out gathering together, they got so distracted what with Mockingbird making jokes, and WhiteRaven sniffing out magic everywhere, and big bluff Shadowwing playing pounce, that they didn't see the storm rolling in. Before they knew it, their trail back home had all blown away.

They've been wandering ever since, always moving from clan to clan, paying their way as they go with their fine fighting skills and the treasures and oddments they've won. They've gotten so in the habit of moving on from one place to another that even when they do find their way home for a night, the morning light finds them back on the road, sticking together and moving to the next place that smells like friendship.
