Concept of Civilization
Fairly nice even for a Concept, does her best to select the most fitting customs to adhere to in social contexts, doesn't always succeed due to the sheer number of cultures and civilizations swimming around in what passes for her noggin - she does, after all, embody Civilization as a whole.
Terminology:
Concept - Manifestation of an abstract ideal/idea. All Concepts are capable of creating avatars, and though a Concept cannot be killed (though they can Metamorphose), their avatar can be killed, albeit temporarily.
Domain - what a Concept's main 'thing' is, e.g. Citadel is the Concept of Civilization, so her Domain is Civilization. Only one Concept can hold any given Domain.
Aspects - All the other stuff associated with the Concept that isn't their Domain. Can be further defined as Major or Minor (or left undefined) (though note that Concepts themselves don't use this classification - it's the scholars who study them who do). E.g. some of Citadel's Aspects includes Customs (Major), Rules (Major), Architecture, Culture (Major), Linguistics, Fashion, and Geography (Minor).
Sphere - the sum of all the stuff associated with a Concept's Domain, e.g. Citadel's Sphere includes her Domain of Civilisation, and Aspects like Customs, Rules, Architecture, Culture, Linguistics, Fashion, and Geography (note: Domain is always listed first). Multiple Concepts can hold the same Aspect - for example, Altruism can appear as an Aspect in many Spheres, but will only ever appear as a Domain in Altruism's Sphere.
Metamorphosis - how a Concept changes, with changes including power levels (relatively), how they (or rather, their avatars) behave, appearances (to a degree) and even Aspects. Some Concepts have more potential for metamorphosis than others.
Intrusions - when a Concept interferes with another Concept's Domain and tries to 'do their job'. (Example: A Concept spoon-feeding answers to unsolved questions to dragons - this would be an intrusion on Discovery's Domain). Tends to be a shared Berserk Button of all Concepts.
Intersections: when two Concepts share Aspects (or a Concept's Domain is found as an Aspect in another Concept's Sphere), e.g. Science and Discovery have numerous Intersections between their Spheres due to sharing many Aspects in common, as their Domains are related.
Rule of Intersections and Intrusions - Related to the ideas of Intersections, and Intrusions. Basically: if a Concept does something that intrudes on another Concept's Sphere but a) was done within the context of fulfilling their own Domain, or b) sticks to Aspects that are involved in Intersections, then no Intrusion was made. (E.g. Altruism giving surprise gifts would technically intrude on Discovery's Domain due to involving the joy of discovery, but because it's mainly because of the inherent generosity of the gesture involved, this wouldn't count as an Intrusion. Generosity is a Major Aspect of Altruism's Sphere.)
Primordial - a Concept that's considered 'fundamental' to reality/our perception of reality as we know it. Note that this is a fluid distinction, not a solid threshold, and that the topic of which Concepts would be classed as Primordial and which wouldn't is a heated debate amongst scholars who study Concepts.
