p r o f i l e
He traversed all across the Windsinger's domain, meeting many dragons and making friends along the way. He flew above the Zephyr Steppes as the wind took him to many friendly clans filled with singers and artists. He stalked among the bamboo shoots of the Reedcleft Ascent, finding clans there who were eloquent with their story-telling and poetry recital. He flew as close as he dared to the Twisting Crescendo and competed with dare-devils to withstand the great wings. He scouted out the huge community of kits and platforms that made up the Cloudsong, meeting some of the Windsinger's oldest children. Years upon years went by that he travelled all across the Plateau, meeting many dragons and clans, but none felt like the right home for him. |

It was a cool day upon the Reedcleft ascent when a voice drifted to his ears, a soothing, loving voice that seemed to be recounting a story. His curiosity was immediately drawn in and he stalked amidst the reeds and bamboo shoots until he peered through the leaves into a clearing. There laid a large female Guardian, addressing a group of assorted hatchlings as she told them a story of a place beyond the Plateau, filled with oozing lava and warm air currents to glide upon, with dragons whom held the most secret of forging techniques. Four, fascinated by the story, joined the group of hatchlings to listen. When the story was done and the hatchlings sent on their way back to their clans, Four approached the Guardian and introduced himself before asking how it was she knew so many stories. She introduced herself as Ariatii before explaining these were stories of her own, from her many trips and flights around all of Sornieth--there was much to see beyond the Plateau, after all. Able to tell the Fae was curious, Ariatii offered for him to join her, but Four hesitated. He'd never been beyond the Plateau...but perhaps whatever his wanderlust was yearning for was out there somewhere. Or, perhaps, travelling for a while would satisfy his desire to travel so that he could find someplace to settle down back here. So, he decided to agree to travel with her. She told him to get what supplies he would need and to meet her at the highest point of the Reedcleft Ascent tomorrow at dawn. | x |

As time went on, their clan expanded and grew, with Four and Ariatii at the head of it leading their clan with confidence and a sense of family. They supported their clan members in whatever they wished to pursue as they taught all of them what it meant to be a Wind dragon. They helped their clanmates achieve their goals and realize their potential in whatever their chosen abilities were, whether it be performing, singing, dancing, poetry, story-telling, whatever the case may be! Four and Ariatii shared what they could, and many of the older, more experienced dragons who joined them also helped pass along their knowledge to cultivate a growing clan. Of course, not every dragon who joined them was a performer of sorts! They had fighters, too, to go into the Coliseum to bring back food and items, as well as to protect the clan from any outward threats. They had scholars whom studied varying fields of interest. They had architects that helped the clan expand their home efficiently and build beautiful structures suitable for a Wind clan while also paying homage to their birth Flights. Four was happy and proud of his clan. He had never imagined, before he met Ariatii, that he'd ever be a part of one, let alone create one. As time went on, his passion never died...though it seemed Ariatii's did. | x |

Ariatii was distancing herself without much explanation or word to even her mate. Four grew more and more concerned by the day, always trying to pester her for what weighed so heavily upon her, but she kept her mouth shut. It was after weeks of such behavior before she finally came to him, and explained that something within her was not happy or satisfied. It was her charge, a charge she had still yet to figure out, and what had kept her from settling down in a clan of her own prior to them meeting. Four was concerned, as he had no idea what to do to help her. He suggested perhaps they go on another pilgrimage, go all around Sornieth again in search of her charge, but she shook her head. She explained how she felt it helped most when she was riding the winds, and how her gaze always got drawn skyward for some unexplained reason. She felt certain, within her heart, her charge was to go and be at the Windsinger's side. He begged her at first not to go, but it was clear there would be no changing his mate's mind. So, later that day, the clan held a celebration, to wish Ariatii good luck on her journey with the hope she would one day find her charge. Just as the sun was beginning to set, she said her final goodbyes, and took off towards the Twisting Crescendo to join the Windsinger. Four sat there and stared after her until well after she had vanished out of sight, and Biixiou had to drag him away so he could try to get some sleep. The Fae, however, was devastated. | x |

He fell into a dark and deep depression, and most of the responsibility for the clan was taken up by Biixiou and his mate Florence, whom were some of the eldest members of the Zephyr Bards. Four was given his space to grieve, which was often no more than him hiding away in any small space he could find away from his clanmates. If it weren't for Biixiou, Four wasn't sure he would have survived this time. As the weeks turned into months, the Fae was feeling hardly any better; Biixiou was still leading the clan while Four was just off in his own world. He found himself out in the Steppes on a cool night with a clear sky up above him cradling a grinning crescent moon. And while the wind that swirled around him was light and happy, he could not rid the heaviness that sat upon his chest. Just as the Fae was about to head back home, the wind began to pick up, swirling quickly around him as if trying to urge him to move. He let out a frustrated growl as he spread his wings to take off, but the wind swirled and tugged at him, before colors began to appear in the wind and misty clouds swirled together in front of him. Within mere moments, the mist and cloudy energy formed into a Gale Wolf, whom stared down at Four with pupilless eyes. The Fae was confused as they stared at one another for a long moment, neither one moving, until he noticed the familiar holding what appeared to be a bundle of feathers and beads in its mouth. Hesitantly, he reached up, and the gale wolf relinquished the bundle to him gently into his claws. The feathers and beads were mostly blue--a color he knew Ariatii always favored. The way that thought struck him was strange, but...he had a feeling that this familiar was sent by his mate, from wherever she was watching him from at the Windsinger's side. The wolf, too, seemed intent to stay with him, and Four couldn't help the tears that sprang from his eyes. He was...content, for the first time since Ariatii left; he felt like he could breathe much more easily as some of the weight lifted from his chest. Taking a steadying breath, he draped the threaded feathers and beads over his wings before taking off back for home with the gale wolf running along swiftly behind him upon the wind currents. | x |

Years and years went by, with Four taking on his leadership role once more now that he had accepted Ariatii's departure. Biixiou was still there to help him whenever he needed it, and many other dragons stepped up to help Four run the clan as it grew and grew over time. He established The Breeze, the council of dragons who all held different positions within the clan to ensure everything ran smoothly. They prospered and spread their influence all across Sornieth, just as he knew Ariatii would have wanted, and he could only hope she was happy from wherever she was. One day, when Four was sharing a story with some of the clan's hatchlings, he noticed a Skydancer he hadn't seen before take a seat near the back to listen. He nearly stumbled over his words, as the coloring of her feathers felt so familiar, but he shook the feeling of and quickly continued the story, but his gaze continued to look towards the Skydancer the entire time. As his story came to a close, he shooed off the hatchlings back to their mothers or the nursery, and soon he and the female Skydancer were alone. She approached him with a careful grace and held her head up in a way that made it feel as if she were trying to make herself seem much larger than she was. Her eyes, he noticed, were glowing with wisps of Wind-infused energy escaping from the corners. |

He will never forget the words that came out from her mouth at that moment. "A wonderful tale, Four. Though, it was a Mimic which had chased us, not some sort of hostile Mirror." His heart skipped a beat and tears sprang into his eyes before he shot forward and wrapped his arms tightly around her. That voice! Even if she looked different than when she had left, he had no doubt: this was Ariatii, his soulmate, returned to him now from the Windsinger's side. It was her turn to share her story, explaining how the search for her charge left her empty-clawed over the years. The Windsinger saw how upset she was, and so he blessed her with a new form, so that she may better find peace out within the world. Four cared little for what she looked like--so long as she was happy, then he would be happy. And, she assured him, she was happy. The two returned to their clan and everyone celebrated Ariatii's return, welcoming her back with open arms. Now, she stays at Four's side, and he finds that he is the happiest that he has ever been in quite a long time. | x |
