Cloud had never fit in with her guardian clanmates. When her clanmates where training in the coliseum she’d go out and forage, she was more interested in herbs than the glory of battle. She felt envious of the coatls and faes she met while foraging and she never knew why.
When it came time for her to choose her path in life she decided to travel the lands. Wherever she went she served drinks of coffee, tea, latte, anything she could make she served. One day she meet a dragon named Mailu who soon became a regular and later a friend.
They talked over a cup of tea once, and Cloud told Mailu her problems, “I’m not sure if I don’t fit in the region or if I don’t fit in myself.”
“I think I know something that can help you,” Mailu proposed, “There’s a spell that can transform a dragon into a different breed, but it’s not easy to do... if I do this I want you do join my clan.”
Cloud perked up, “I’ll do it, both things, I.. wanted to join your clan too.”
Mailu smiled, “I’m glad we can agree on that.”
When Cloud finally joined Mailu’s clan she was a fae, and when she looked out to the clan from her coffee shop she knew she was home.
