You want to make a difference. You want to matter. And that is a noble goal. Don't we all want to leave our marks on the world? But this isn't the way to do it. No one remembers the fallen but their family. Remain Exalted if you wish. Go and serve the gods in their fortresses, but don't do it here. Not on this battlefield, not on this soil that has been defiled by the blood of multitudes. You can be reassigned, you know. They don't tell you that when they send you here, but it's true. Ask them, please, before you don't have a chance. And me? I will never give these lowly wyrms my service again. I hope you will find it in your hearts to join me.  Exalted Guillaume's career was littered with charges of heresy prior to his desertion of the army. His rebelliousness barred him from any significant advances in the field, and he remained a low-rank foot soldier until the day of his disappearance. He was known for his speeches, many of which created trends of abandonment within the ranks. Intelligence suggests that Guillaume has taken refuge in a border clan known as Thunder Hollow. No action has heretofore been requested by the Lightning generals, though a critical eye has been cast over his new place of residence. Exalted Guillaume's contract has been terminated. |
