DESCRIPTION

Don't you ever dream of some place better
Where the lights shine brighter?
Don't you ever feel like you've been destined
For something bigger than your skin?

Carnival is the illusionist of the Tanglewood Hive. When he was young he was in love with Calliope the Veilspun, but her parents opposed the match, so they eloped and left the Tangled Wood for brighter lands. They ended up in the Windswept Plateau near the Altarian Clan and eventually separated and subsequently met their current mates.

RELATIONSHIPS

Mate Circus is Carnival's second and current mate.

Familiar Bellin the War Smith is his familiar.

Former Mate Calliope is Carnival's first and former mate. When Veilspun revealed themselves to the world, the pair traveled from the Tangled Wood to the Windswept Plateau where they encountered the Altarian Clan. The main reason for their separation is the fact that Carnival did not want to join with the Altarian Clan, while Calliope did. The Night We Met - he was still in love with Calliope and so he lets her go because he wants her to be happy.

LIFE HISTORY

Birth and Childhood Carnival was born while the Veilspun were hidden from the rest of dragonkind. From a young age he felt out of place in the stagnant murk of the Wispwillow Grove and knew he was meant for a place full of sunlight and warmth and fresh air. As a result he was a bit of an outcast within his charm and even within his smaller family unit. Before he even reached adolescence he was well known for his strangeness.

Coming of Age
When Carnival was young he was in love with Calliope the Veilspun. However, due to his reputation her parents opposed to the match, so the two ran away together, leaving from the Tangled Woods and wandering across the realms. Eventually their journey led them into the heart of the Windswept Plateau. They settled for a time near the Altarian Clan and raised their first and only clutch of offspring. However, as time went on, Calliope found herself more and more enamored with the Altarian Clan and the beautiful optimism of its members. Unfortunately Carnival was unwilling to join the Altarian Clan and prefered to remain with others of his kind, and as a result the two of them decided to go their separate ways. Eventually both of them found their current mates and have had many offspring with them.

OTHER NOTES

Had Nostradamus the Cosmo Gecko since I got him until 28 Jul 23 in the great familiar purge when I unmatched familiar pairs I wasn't totally on board with. His relationship description said "Nostradamus is Carnival's familiar who traveled with Carnival and Calliope as they left the Tangled Wood for brighter lands."
