Biography
▬▬ KERCAEL, Apprentice ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ♢♢♢ The Auraetum | Clan Lore Raised with the Exultant Order, Kercael grew up with interesting concepts of worthiness and specialness in his mind. Deemed worthy of living at birth, Kercael never saw what it was like from below the top. He always saw his home clan as a powerful force to respect, but not to be scared of. But Michelangelo, the sculptor who Kercael was tasked with assisting, never had such an upbringing. Michelangelo, while working, would talk with the young pearlcatcher about his past. About concepts like life and death. With a different viewpoint to see from, the ideas that were built up in Kercael's mind are slowly starting to crumble away. |

Quote:
This dragon was born into the Exultant Order and deemed worthy of their life by the Ones Apart. They are considered a full member of the order and as such are taught its tenets and take part in all its rituals and ceremonies. One day, they may be sent to another clan to serve as an ambassador, servant, warrior, or an improver of bloodlines. The Exultant Order hopes this dragon’s life might make the world a worthier place and that once their time on the mortal realm has passed, they may become one with the Finality.

Kercael left the Exultant Order ready to contribute to other clans with its teachings. The Auraetum, a well-known clan of rich and powerful dragons, caught his eye. Oh, how wonderful it would be to spread the Order's discipline to a clan with such influence! So he set off to make the world worthier as the dragons of his clan had always taught him. The Auraetum and it's council received Kercael well, but things did not continue his way. A shock to the young pearlcatcher, many dragons were not ready to accept the order's teachings. But he, determined to do right by his clan, stuck around. Mistress Erina would not accept "some tactless proselytizer" living in her palace without doing anything helpful so Kercael agreed to work, so he could stay and spread his ideas... But he hardly has time to. Perhaps it was Erina's plan, but to be placed as the resident sculptor's assistant took away any of Kercael's possible time during the day. He can't find any time to lecture when he's being dragged around and made to carry heavy tools, and it seems like most dragons of the Auraetum like it that way. |
