Biography
Uh-oh, looks like this bird enthusiast wandered a little too far from his home lair (grxndsxn, 437722), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. Please refrain from exalting him!
Important note: Please only trade this dragon on travelling dragon threads, as opposed to places such as the Auction House.
Hawksong would like to receive a permanent home someday, so if you'd like to adopt him after he's been travelling long enough, just let his owner know!

Hawksong was born into a clan known as Crow Callers, so it's no surprise that he likes birds as much as he does. When he was a hatchling, he befriended a large hawk; many feared that the hawk would be dangerous to the young Bogsneak, but they eventually learned that the hawk wasn't dangerous at all.
When he began to grow up, Hawksong was disheartened to learn that Bogsneaks couldn't fly very well. However, Asylum, a fellow Bogsneak, had an idea. He decided to start training Hawksong's pet hawk how to fly him to wherever he desired.
With that knowledge, Hawksong decided to start travelling the world (along with his pet hawk), and see what kinds of birds existed throughout Sorneith. Maybe he'd meet a few new friends along the way.
"And then- and then in comes the new guy, and he is... well. 'How do you do?', says he. On his bird."
Brennan is in stitches at this. The boat rocks in the desert dunes as the great Mirror rolls about, cackling like a mad lad. "A bird!" he just about screams, and Lars flinches only a little.
"Yeh, that's right! His bird." He draws a wavy line in the dusty deck; a seabird, perhaps, or a wave, or maybe even a logo for some fast food establishment. It's hard to tell with Lars. "A big, fat one. Almost as ugly as him. And a little bit angry, on account of being sat on and such. So I say to him, well now, I'm quite fine, besides being dead and such, but- what do you think you're doing with that bird? That bird looks like it's about to be dead as me!"
Lars pauses, because he does love his dramatic effects, and Brennan rolls to his feet, snakes his neck in, closer, closer, like Lars' stupid story can be read and not heard somehow. He even squints his eyes, two at a time. "And he answered, didn't he? C'mon, out with it."
A snort. "Most of the little ones wouldn't bother talking to us proper responsible adults. But this one-" And Brennan cracks up, and Lars has to wait for him to shut up, before he gets on with it.
Sadly, Brennan does not shut up. "What'd he say? What'd he say?"
"He said... that he was a bloody birdwatcher!"
"No! No, you mean bird eater! Wait. Wait, I know this one." Puffing out his chest, the Mirror makes a genuine attempt at thinking. "Bird... sitter! 'Cos he sat on the bird!"
"Never! It was birdwatcher, watcher he said. I'll swear it on my own grave!" Lars throws back his head, and roars so loudly, perhaps the fleeing Bogsneak will hear him. Perhaps not. He hopes he will be heard. "Birdwatcher!"
Brennan laughs and laughs, floping onto the sand and beating his claws upon it. The howls of the ghostly Mirror echo across the sands, and before long, Lars joins him.
If the hatchling has heard, it is surely running.
When he visited the Crescent in the Tangled Wood, he saw lots of new species of birds he had never before seen. He spent days here, observing the avian wildlife. After a few odd days he was ready to go see what else there was out there for him to discover .
As soon as Hawksong got here, he dropped his things in the visitors cave and immediately set off to discover the birds of the wind region. His cave was never occupied, and he was always off looking for a new bird to mark down in his journal.
One day, he saw a curious looking bird hopping about in the flat fields of the Zephyr Steppes.
Maybe it's wing is broken? he thought, as he tentatively approached it. It's wings seemed to be fine, other then the fact that they didn't look like they were built for flying.
He eventually go so close that he was standing next to it. Even though it was looking right at him, it didn't seem to be alarmed. He waved a hand in front of it's face, and it did nothing.
Perhaps it's blind, he wondered.
He decided this was a good opportunity to do some more research, grabbed the strange bird, and flew away. It squawked loudly, but eventually curled up into his chest.
He smiled, gripping the bird tightly as he soared through the trees. I'm looking forwards to this research project.
