An unexpected early denotation of a firework left Kiach almost completely deaf. If he’s not focused carefully on someone when they’re speaking, he’s unlikely to be able to hear them. Kiach has become decent at reading lips and is currently learning sign language as well. For signing, he uses his feet by balancing on his tail and using his wings as a balance. Undaunted by the accident, Kiach still works with fireworks. Now, however, he always wears ear protection, even if he’s not working with primed fireworks.

Kiach's specialty in fireworks has evolved over time to become more gunpowder and weapons based. He found that the sizable market for brilliant explosions was nothing compared to the black market of powerful weapons, and his younger family experience predisposed him to quickly rise to power in these underground markets.
