Biography

ESOTERIC EXPLORERS - MAGE

This build is for leveling 1 fodder dragon with two level 25 trainers while grinding in the Forbidden Portal. Mia is the mage of the duo, and should be paired with Cat, the melee of the duo.
Rally Turn order varies from round to round, and each round takes a little planning to most efficiently take down enemies. Mia's first move, however, should be used to Rally Cat. That way, Cat can immediately Scratch + Eliminate enemies.
Sear It's a good idea to have Mia hit at least one enemy for Cat to then Eliminate. This allows Cat to complete the round without needing to be Rallied twice. Use Contuse against Fire and Earth enemies, since Sear will only do half damage to those.
Aid Use Aid on an as-needed basis when one of the trainers is low. Otherwise, depending on breath, you can Meditate to build breath, or use Sear or Contuse to save Cat an extra Scratch and finish the round more quickly.
Considerations:
  • Mia (the mage) should come before Cat (the melee) in the turn order so that Mia can Rally Cat, allowing Cat to immediately start Scratching + Eliminating.
  • Cat will be the one doing most of the damage. But Mia's Sear (or Contuse against Earth and Fire enemies) does as much damage as a Scratch, and can be used to substitute Scratches and reduce the number of turns needed for Cat to clear out a round.
  • If you use Sear on Nature, Plague, or Ice enemies, your damage is doubled and you have a chance to one-shot them with a critical hit.
  • Using Aid, Mia heals 706 hit points. Therefore, to get the most out of Aid, wait until Mia is at or below 844 hit points, or until Cat is at or below 1184 hit points.
  • This build is very slow for leveling dragons, and is mostly intended for farming in the Forbidden Portal, with a little leveling on the side as a bonus.
  • This build can be used in the Golem Workshop as well, though Cat and Mia's elements are better suited to the Forbidden Portal.
  • This duo can easily handle bosses! Keep them Contused to reduce damage. If Cat gets Disoriented by the Terror Toad, however, reset.

Red Maple Leaf Mia was purchased by Alphazi from one of their favourite hatcheries, and her birth date coincided with the loss of a friend. Alphazi had hoped Mia would help console their loss, and serve as a beautiful memorial dragon for their friend, but unfortunately, things didn't work out. Alphazi didn't want to keep her anymore, but they didn't want to merely discard her, so they sold her to me. Thank you, Alphazi.
