Non-blood prince of the Glimmering Swamp

The leadership operations here were surprising to me at first. I had never seen leadership handled in such a manner. Our queen is attuned with the swamp, and she can help visitors get through by sending magical commands to the guides and guards of the swamp, or to the swamp itself. She is connected in a way I could never understand, until she called me into her hollow. I was amazed at how beautiful the hollow was. It had a pool of glittering water in the center, and the trees formed the walls, spiraling up and lit with the native mushrooms dotted all the way up the sides. There were roots and vines forming extra cover, and a personalized nest for the queen herself. It had been empty as long as I could remember. When she called me in, she told me I was attuned to the swamp in a way few others are. That I was chosen by the swamp to be the next ruler, should she fall. She had me taste the waters in the center of the pool, and I finally understood. I was connected to the water in the swamp, underneath us, and in the plants and vines. I could feel the life moving, and breathing. I could hear the swamp speaking softly to me. It wasn't so much of a voice, as a feeling... a knowing of what to do. I will gladly accept my task to be the next ruler of the swamp, and the water attuned. I felt my fate growing heavier on me... The swamp had gifted me, marked me as it's own. Vines grew from the fur on my mane, it almost felt like moss to me now. These vines were attuned with the water as well, and now all could see, the tendrils of the swamp grown on me.
