One of the few survivors of her late clan, Raloqua witnessed the formation and destruction caused by an Emperor. For most of her young life she'd been complacent to the pratices of avoiding the formation of the behemoths, but seeing for herself what the undead of her species create and cause she realized how finite this 'solution' was and turned to alchemy and the systems of magic for answers.

A perfectionist by nature and a ticking time bomb of anxiety and rash decisions. Raloqua has a habit of keeping all her emotions bottled up and her thoughts to herself. She is her own judge, jury, and executioner, devoted to her work and willing to sacrifice anything and everything to achieve what she seeks. Which is what brought her to Luminax. Dispite the danger, she believe that if there is any way to solve the undead fate her species faces, the walking behemoth is it.

"Gamma." The red Guardian bows his head politely. "I'm alone on my Search, and it has brought me here."

"A Search?" Raloqua tilts her head, pondering the word.

Gamma too looks surprised.

"It's a Guardian tradition." Gamma says, and suddenly the name of the species makes much more sense to her. "We journey the world for our 'charge', something - or someone - we must protect for the rest of our lives."

"That's quite honorable." Raloqua acclaims, her eyes shifting back to the behemoth. It's heads are snapping angrily as it begins to advance, onward on Its undead march. "I am, in a way, on a Search of my own." A sudden thought comes to her. "Pray it isn't that Thing, is it?"

The red Guardian shakes his head vigorously. "I thought that a moment ago, but not anymore."

"You can tell?"

"It's more like a feeling than any exact words, but yes."

"Ah."

The behemoth tramples out of sight, and suddenly the air shifts. The area is suddenly much lighter, like a held breath finally releasing. A lizard scampers out from under a rock and basks in the midday sun.

"It feels like it's you."

"Beg pardon?" Raloqua jumps, snapped out of her sudden lapse of thought.

"You're my Charge." Gamma states.

She never expected to meet someone like Gamma.

She never expected to be someone's 'charge.'

Did she even deserve it? Certainly not. But it is nice to have someone else at her side, someone who understands her need to complete this task.
