Biography
Periodic Table Pair
Gamma is an extremely solitary dragon. He’s rather irritable and cross, easily annoyed by the littlest thing or the smallest of remarks. He frequently uses his size as a tool to intimidate and will attack if pushed. When Gamma is alone, he is happier, more at ease. He carves into driftwood and bone as a way to relax and has become rather skilled in it, able to sculpt marvelous feats of craftsmanship with his own claws. He keeps many of his projects tucked away from prying eyes.
____
Beyond and behind stretch miles and miles of sandy plains and limestone ruins.
He hates the way sand grinds between his claws, but he persists through the land of Light. There's a feeling deep within him ushering him onward. He'd met other Guardians on his Search, those who'd found their charge, who had told him stories of the desperation and the 'feeling' that had driven them to the End.
Maybe this is that 'feeling', he thinks as the sands tremble beneath his claws, rhythmically pulsing.
Wait. Sands do not normally pulse.
He looks up, and freezes.
There, on the horizon, darkened by the flair of light around him, stands a terrible beast.
Luminax, in all their terrible glory. The three heads visably frothing at the mouth, red eyes blazing and flesh rotting from it's undead body, look to the sky and howl.
If the beast itself wasn't already a terrible sight to behold, the sound of their cry was ghastly. It shook the earth, reverberated to Gamma's very bones, and the Guardian's soul sank.
Was this the End?
No. Not possible. A Search is not supposed to lead one to their doom. Very few have ever been tasked with such fates, and the universe would be a fool to assign him to one such as this.
But, for a moment, quaking at the sight of the behemoth, he thought.
Until a voice broke his gaze from the horizon to his side.
"Your first time?"
Gamma jolts and turns, serving to face a blue Imperial dressed in gold.
She smiles at him with her sootstained maw, and the feeling returns, and with it a strange calmness. Maybe this was his End. "It's alright to fear It. When I first came here with only stories as proof I nearly lost my sanity when It stomped into sight."
Gamma huffs, rolling his eyes. "You're insane to even imply you've been here with that Thing rampaging in the distance."
"Well, I guess I have lost my mind then." The Imperial chuckles. She bows her head in greeting. "Raloqua's my name. May I ask of yours?"
____
Gamma finds his charge in the sweeping sands. She is one devoted to her work.
He will do everything in his power to protect her, protect her work, so that she may find a cure for the behemoths.
