Biography
The colours from my dream...
For as long as she could remember Qhaway always had the most vivid and marvellous dreams. While there were those who saw it as the delightful imagination of a child, others suspected it wasn't so simple.
On waking from her dreams, everything magical in nature, from clan-mates to glowing gems, were more vibrant for the following several hours. Her parents wondered if dreams were what pure magic became.
Ilind and her battle-scarred Snapper mentor stayed with the Arcane clan on their crystalline island for a few days as they dealt with apparitions on neighbouring islands. Qhaway caught their attention when, one morning, she remarked that their soul vessels, innocuous vases designed for containing errant spirits, had an intriguing scent.
With practice, the Tundra became able to perceive the silhouettes of wandering souls during those hours of heightened awareness. Although Qhaway has the reputation of a frequent daydreamer, her team-mates have come to learn that it's a sign that all is well.
The soul collector, now 'cygnus', is generally happy enough to sacrifice her own pride for camaraderie, balancing some of the more prideful and judgmental elements of the team. When it comes to those she's known for some time, Qhaway has the insight to point out when their behaviour is unconstructive.
When unoccupied, the Tundra may be found curled up on the hearth with her familiar (and any others that may be snuggles-inclined) or making colourful dream-doodles in her quarters.
