before meeting arashi, koi lived a relatively normal life in the lightning faction. he hatched from an egg, his parents having abandoned the nest and leaving him all alone. he was taken in by a few kindly dragons, but they were not really a family to him. as he grew, he became invested in work, moving closer to the factories so that he could contribute there.

for some years, he lived only for his work. one day another dragon came along, and that dragon was arashi. she was sweet and kind towards many, and her nature drew koi in. the two of them fell in love, and as they both grew dissatisfied in the factories, they moved out into the barren wastes to find a place for their own clan.

the two of them occasionally bicker about what the clan should be like. koi wants to make it similar to the factories, just with better working conditions, but arashi argues that it should be more like a safe retreat for dragons where everyone is provided for. tensions may escalate into something more...

koi has always been a little bit shy, but that's a fear he's had to learn to overcome. being around arashi always has helped, but he still finds himself drawn into his work, closing himself off from everyone else and working harder. most would call him a workaholic.

although it's a bit of a bad trait, on the other hand koi is also very dedicated and hardworking. once he sets his mind to something, he will almost always see it through, no matter what it takes. through years of progress, he's begun to overcome his fears and be bolder, although his bad habits still seem to stick around.
