Personality

A bit of a daredevil and a fun personality. She longs to fly fast and far and cut up with friends. But, she knows when to be serious and the time is now. She's apt to joke at the wrong moment in an attempt to lighten moods. Has days where she's full of energy and a real livewire and others where she kind of just doesn't have the energy to talk.
Courageous and willing to do whatever it takes for others, a habit passed down from her father. She cares a lot though she's not apt to admit it to most people, especially when they see her showing too much disrespect. Usually her disrespect comes in jest, but she's so serious in tone that people have no choice but to take her seriously, resulting in guilt. She's not overly prideful though and knows when to step up and apologize.
Honestly filled to the brim with love. She's really super sweet and fun when you get to know her and she'll definitely open herself up with friends. She does make friends fast and easy and gets along very well with people who will let her banter and banter back in turn. Playful ribbing that doesn't go too far over the line, please let her lightheartedly roast you, it's how you know she cares.

History

Star Wars Resistance OC

Childhood friend of Norath Kev, the two have been very close since about the age of six. Always known as a duo, where one went the other was usually not far behind. Although good kids, it was pretty well known by teachers and parents alike that they were prone to causing mischief when together. Though in her younger years, Kess was known to cause more mischief when separated from her friend as well.

The bulk of her life was spent planetside, hoping to follow in her father's footsteps as a pilot. She learned how to fly from a young age, and was known to be a keen shot with a blaster. While she was often a happy kid, a bad speeder crash took her father and her hand, and left her with a fear of both flying and losing others.

As she grows older she's able to bury it away enough so that following her friend to the Resistance is easy enough- until she comes to senses down the line, but by then it's a little too late. Having lost her drive for flying (though truthfully she still longs to be in the pilot seat again), Kess took to schooling on data-work. She's fairly adept at coding and encryption/decryption of data, and uses this as her main still to offer the resistance. She's pretty fond of droids, and many of the Resistance droids can be seen following her around.

During Resistance she aided in transport of new recruits onboard the Resistance shuttles. She was on board one of the two shuttles that made it safely to the Colossus. She moans about the shuttle ride, but wonders if she'd prefer the shuttles to the massive station.

In the battle of Exegol, she convinces herself to take to the skies once more. After forcing herself onto a ship, left pilot-less due to illness, she joins the fray. Those on the same com channel may remember her saying 'I hate this I hate this I HATE this.' over and over, but the annoyance is outweighed by the reveal that she was, in fact, a really good shot. (Not gonna lie to y'all I've never seen RoS, I just know Exegol looks bonkers crazy stupid).

Kess and Norath have a mutual thing for each other. Something which they're talked about but have agreed to leave it until things settle down quite a lot.

Trivia

Lies about being afraid of flying. The crash that took her father and hand didn't leave her with a fear of flying. It left her with a fear of OTHERS flying. Afraid for her friends who fly. She adopted the lie as a way to get out of flight and away from seeing them take to the cockpit. She knows what it's like to enjoy it, so she won't try and take it away from them, but even just knowing is enough to stress her out, watching sends her back to that day entirely.
