Merionwen, named after the flower genus Meiracyllium, was born into a family of spellcasters. Her family was very strict, and Meirion longed for a taste of freedom. Eventually, when her old friend Gertrude proposed a plan for escape, Meirionwen took the opportunity and fled to the quaint but charming village of Willowfern. Upon hearing that they were struggling to train two cosmically powerful dragons, Meirion set up shop and has been teaching the two dragons about the cosmos, as well as aid Pisces in her research.

When she had first arrived in Willowfern, Merionwen was actually quite charismatic, as well as scandalous. Those who did not know her when she first arrived in the village would never have guessed that she had ended up having many one night stands with various warriors to gain their favor, as well as utilize her newfound freedom. It actually ended up having the opposite effect, and Merionwen was now the unsuspecting mother of many hatchlings. Not knowing what to do with them, she hastily sent them all off to live and work for the Gladekeeper, where they all reside to this day. He hasn’t heard from any of them since. Meanwhile, the various fathers, wishing to keep their reputation intact, refused to speak with her again.
Racked with guilt of making so many unwanted children, and now having no friends to support her, Merionwen decided to live alone, and spend more time with magic, and less time with other dragons. As a result, she now has trouble talking with other dragons, and when she does, she sounds more harsh and crotchety than she intends to.
However, one day, Gardenia, the only dragon she regularly spoke to, had a request for her. There were two cosmically powered hatchlings- Ipomea and Mirasol- who were connected to the eclipses from which their magical abilities drew from. They were both hatched out of no where, and the clans in which they hatched had no use or understanding of such powers, and desperately needed help in aiding them to control their abilities. Gardenia, having heard of this problem, figured it would be the perfect opportunity for Merionwen to not only put her own magical abilities to use, but also to be able to regain her social skills once more. Begrudgingly, she agreed, but only if the hatchlings were cared for by another, more motherly dragon. Gardenia assured her that that would be taken care of by Bella, who had taken in many a hatchling before.

From the next week, when the hatchlings arrived, until this day, Merionwen now trains the two to become better cosmic sourcerers and overall magic users. Merionwen, though she would never admit it out loud, had become rather fond of the two, and had also grown fond of Bella as well. She and Bella didn’t talk much, but when they did, Bella ways always so caring and sweet to her, that she couldn’t help but grow a teeny-weeny crush on her. Was it a crush? Maybe she just wanted love so desperately that the one time someone shows care for her as a person, she sees it as romantic. No matter, even if she does love her, even a little bit, Merionwen would never admit to such things. It could only end up making things messy, right?
