Personality: Kaliska is quiet, content with spending time with those close to her and helping Desmond with his tricks with her own. she rarely speaks of her past although is far from afraid to face it head on with caws and teeth at the ready, she is loyal to those who have earned her trust and will defend them with everything she has. she has a sense of honor which makes her keep her word for the most part although does not go so far as to encourage her to force herself into situations she has no business in.

Background: Kaliska was a foundling, orphaned by her clan because of her looks and left to fend for herself as a small hatchling, she was found and adopted by a tribe of centaur. she was raised as the youngest of three children and got along well with one of her brothers, the other she fought with, but she felt no real ill will or that her disagreements were unusual. her father was a warrior and her mother a fortune teller, she learned everything she could from both her parents as well as the other elders in the tribe.
There had always been whispers in the tribe of her mother being less than good, using her magics to harm rather than help, but they were more or less left alone; because of her odd colors there were similar whispers about her, that she was a witch and a curse. it was after her father was killed in a battle and accused of cowardice that she and her family were exiled from their tribe, grieving and forced to wander they made their way through cities, clans, and kingdoms using her mother's fortune telling to survive. she learned her mother's trade and honed the skill to help bring in coin to survive and live comfortably although they never stayed in a single place for very long for fear of being found.

Kaliska left her family, hoping there would be safety where ever she ended up as the tribe seemed intent on hunting them all down. she met Jacob, a fae that looked startlingly similar to her, she took a cautious liking to the talkative male and entertained conversation with him as they travelled. Jacob took to traveling with her as she continued to run from her past, she appreciated the company knowing even when silent he was there.
Jacob became a near constant companion, including her in his plans and offering her small gifts and soon he became a welcomed companion. Kaliska found herself with a loyal friend for the first time since she was a young child, it was a sobering realization for her yet a welcome one as they continued travelling from clan to clan without much thought of staying.

Soon enough their travels took them to a clan that was the target of a family of bandits, Jacob ever the bleeding heart offered their help. tracking the bandits was entertaining, Jacob who had made his living hunting and selling what he caught couldn't find the tracks and Kaliska however found the tracks and was quick to point out where the tracks started. she followed Jacob to a small cave where the pair found a place to hide where they could watch the cave, but well hidden from the cave's occupants and still allow them to see what they were dealing with.
Within the cave was six drakes, horribly outnumbered they waited until most of the drakes were out hunting before they went in. Kaliska hissed angry as she was attacked and growled several soft curses that sent the drake flying back into the other that was attacking Jacob, fear spiked through her as she realized what she had done and looked at Jacob with the hope he had not noticed what she had done. he was rubbing his head and smiling at her, she smiled back and tied the two males up; she saw two dragons, both nicely dressed both were bruised and battered.

The two, Desmond and Consuela helped them take down the rest of the bandits and were in turn helped to the clan that was nearby, Jacob leaned against Kaliska and allowed her to lean against him as both had suffered more than a few wounds. the clan helped them without complaint and Kaliska simply wanted to continue her travels, she had been in the clan a month too long and wanted to keep moving a little farther before she would feel somewhat safe.
Desmond and Consuela joined them on their travels, much to Jacob's dismay, they found a kingdom to stay in and set themselves up to live comfortably. Kaliska set up as a fortune teller and was surprised when Mitne became a frequent visitor, asking about certain dragons usually and Kaliska was happy to try to find the answers she was looking for if only to get her to leave that much faster.

Kaliska was surprised when Consuela started spending more time with Adamar and Desmond seemed to be the kept pet of Senelnay long before she was married to Adamar, although neither spoke of their roles as lovers to the royal family. Kaliska kept well away from the royal family, not feeling comfortable with Mitne and finding the constant plotting and underhanded maneuvering tiresome at best, although Mitne had an interest in her. it was when the four had gathered together again to travel, Jacob insisting that Kaliska should come with him, that things became much more complicated.
Shadow and his family escorted them and bid them safe travels, their travels were simply to a town a few days travel from the kingdom. Kaliska was shocked when a large group of centaur attacked them, the fight wore on her as she attacked with magic, claw, fang, and weapon, it was a desperate attempt to keep her friends safe, although they were sorely outnumbered they had done well so far yet they would all get tired sometime.

A lucky blow with a hoof sent Jacob crashing, Desmond and Consuela had their own weapons out, backing toward herself and Jacob. Kaliska moved forward with her weapon in hand, fully intending on protecting what was her own until she simply couldn't anymore, she heard Desmond yelling at her and her former tribe gloating over their victory then suddenly she could hear nothing but a whispering that grew louder and more insistent.
When her mind returned to her she saw the centaur that had not already been killed were laying motionless, she was laying on the ground entirely exhausted. Consuela checked that their opponents were no longer a threat and if they were only unconscious made sure they would not come after them again. Jacob pointed out that someone had run off back toward the kingdom, the scent was wrong for a centaur and he assumed it was another dragon.

The group found a place to camp and Kaliska started making dinner as she told them her story in it's entirety, she was surprised when Desmond spoke up "Then we have the best Witch ever! she ain't hurt us or nothin'! she protects us!" he said happily and Kaliska smiled "Don't ever change Desmond." she said affectionately. after the other two had fallen asleep Jacob laid next to her "Whatever comes of this, whatever comes our way, We'll get through it together." he assured "All of us."
Once back in the kingdom Kaliska and Jacob only grew closer while Consuela took to manipulating the royal family by getting closer to Adamar and Pyros as well as Jalia and Selenay. a drake came in and had a meal with Kaliska, Jacob, Consuela, and Desmond claiming to be looking for a murderer named Jacob, the group stiffened and deflected the drake's questions until he left, the danger had not passed, but it was lessened for the moment.
