Uh-oh, looks like this trusting spiral wandered a little too far from their home lair (452562, Hyzenthlaay), and now they’re off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt them, we'd really appreciate it if you instead could just return them to their original home via the Crossroads, send them off in the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread (warning, you will get another traveler in return if you do this), or if you don’t want another traveler in return, this rest hub. You can also adopt them permanently if you don’t want them leaving your lair - just contact Hyzenthlaay and let her know (it’s good for her notes)! Many people have worked very hard on this traveling dragon, and exalting them would be an absolute shame. Please don’t do it! 
Pird was the result of a cruel experiment to create a permanent hatchling without the use of magical aid. Instead, his biology itself was altered shortly after his birth. This testing did nothing but make Pird smaller than the average spiral, more comparable to a fae's size than his peers. Dissatisfied with the results, his experimenters tossed him out of his Lightning home, from where he wandered aimlessly until coming upon Morona of Clan Mavenlark. Mistaking him for a hatchling, Morona offered to bring him back to her clan, which he accepted, having nowhere else to go and tired of living off of the land. The two got to know one another, and Morona was impressed that he could survive for so long with no formal training. She introduced him to Transient, another fellow experiment-gone-wrong, and the two hit it off splendidly. She encouraged him to make something of his travels, difficult as they had been, and listened intently when he talked about the lands he had seen previous to his arrival. Doing so made him realize that there was much of Sornieth left to explore - and Transient gave him her blessings when he left the clan once again, now excited at the prospect of seeing all Sornieth had to offer. Despite his stature, Pird is not fragile, and is quite capable of making it on his own. However, he does enjoy the company of dragons. It was important … no, vital that I returned to the Lightning region at some point. I can't let it hang over me like a dark cloud forever. Still, I have nothing but bad memories associated with this place, and my days here were very difficult. I hope I was able to replace old memories with new ones, but only time can tell.

I took lodgings inside a skeletal-esc structure at first, then in a room with a former traveler named Lightbulb, then I was.... stolen? Sort of? It was pretty scary at first, I thought at first it was someone who knew who I used to be. And then it just turned out to be a zombie who thought I was a hatchling, which was still pretty scary but a little less so. Lightbulb found me not too long after I was taken, though, and was able to explain that she just wanted to mother me, I guess? Of what they could tell, Autumn (the zombie lady!) must've had kids in life and kept that routine or instinct or whatever in her death. It's a little sad, to be honest, she's going about and doing things but the way her un-death is she isn't entirely aware of things that are going on.
I couldn't stay with her, though. There's still too many things for me to see for me to just stay with someone I can't help. I'm in Lightbulb's place again right now, and I'm going to be heading out soon. I hope my next place is a bit less sad and scary!
