Originally security and general muscle for a group of scientists working around the Wyrmwound and studying the contagions there in, Primarch was often the one doing the heavy lifting. He most commonly helped Soul, the Skydancer scientist going right to the banks of the cauldron to find the blood borne infections she specialized in. And while Soul was dainty and lightweight enough to balance easily on the precarious paths, Primarch could not because of his great bulk. It was on one of these excursions that while not paying attention, Primarch slipped and fell in the Wyrmwound. To the outside observer, it looked like he had jumped, but to poor Primarch it was the most heart stopping moment of his life. Not because he was falling in the Wyrmwound, but because he was falling In general. Eventually he managed to swim to shore where a panicked Soul was waiting to fuss over him.

In the coming weeks, Primarch was quarantined after his unintended dip in the Plaguebringer's soup. Mostly he was studied by those he helped guard, not that he particularly cared. He didn't understand why it was such a big deal, it's not like he fell into something dangerous right?
(Let it be said that Primarch was far from the smartest dragon in the wastes.)
But it was not long before the mother's strain made itself known in him, his scales morphing from the shades of green and dark browns they were, to the fleshy tones he now sports.

Pathogenocytes had been discovered a few weeks prior, so while he didn't know exactly what a Pathogenocyte was, he did grasp he was one now. His surviving of being submerged in Wyrmwound, made him into a new rank of the Pathogenocyte, the first reaper. He was capable of stripping the mother's strain from those who had gone mad, neutralizing them and leaving them hollow. But Primarch has very little understanding or care for his new status and power. He's a powerful being, but has yet to so much as really use his powers in any meaningful manner beyond self defense. He more simply uses his standard Pathogenocyte abilities, altering his physical structure to increase his physical strength and physical endurance. Not that he really understands what he does to make these changes.
