__Hidden within the mutated abundance of desert succulents lies a bustling paradise, sheltered from the intense conditions of the Shifting Expanse. Living within these prickly walls is Takasa Clan, a clan made up of misfits that came together to form a tightly knit family and well oiled machine. This seemingly inconspicuous family of cacti live wedged into the underside of a tall, rocky cliff, out of the harsh sunlight, allowing the internal water to cool off and freshen the entire settlement inside.
__This natural water system consists of part freshwater spring and part cactus juice, with the spring water coming from beneath the cacti and from the walls of the cliff, along with the juice coming from the inner walls of the succulents themselves. They flow throughout the village, allowing for easy water access, brimming with nutrients.
__The Kuraiji are the leaders of the clan, currently Tenjin and Ayao. They originally founded Takasa clan, starting from a small group of nomad dragons that resided no one place for too long. They work hard to keep the clan in check and bustling, but with the rapidly growing size of the clan, they knew that eventually they would need some help. The Kuraiji then created the Eiji, a selection of the clan's finest dragons to delegate and help run the clan. The tasks are divided up and assigned to each Eiji, where it becomes each Eiji's responsibilities to keep things moving smoothly. Both the Kuraiji and the Eiji reside in the Heights, a large, hollowed out section of the cliffside that leads into the back end of the succulent cluster. There, laws are passed and decisions are made, and fellow clanmates can come to seek assistance. While the Eiji are constantly on the move in and out of the Heights, the Kuraiji often remain inside the cliff, but once in a while they may make an appearance to the rest of the clan, whether it be for a clan addressed announcement or just for a stroll.
__One of these decisions passed by the Heights is the Traveler Program. The Traveler Program was created by the Kuraiji, and one of the Eiji, Akae, to safely welcome travelers to our territory. All non-clan dragons are first logged at the gate of the city, and if they're a part of the 'Dragons Off to See the World' program, they may take advantage of our clan's program. Upon the arrival of an official traveler, they will be logged at the gate and given a tour by the lovely Akae, the Eiji in charge of the program at the time. The traveler is then given a supply ticket, a voucher to be redeemed at a certain market stall to help replenish the supplies of a traveler. While at the Bazaar, they may stock up on other things not covered by the program. Afterwards, they're offered a place in the Inn, where they may stay for up to two weeks before their departure. Many residents of the clan wonder what the main reason for establishing this program was to the Kuraiji, but anyone who knows the Kuraiji well enough would know. One of the clan's earliest dragons, Takemikazuchi, is a traveler under the official program, and also the adopted daughter of Tenjin and Ayao. Some may suppose that the Kuraiji wished to offer travelers a pleasant experience, as what they would want for Takemikazuchi while she was traveling.
__Another delegation of dragons is the Senku. A senku's job is to scout the territory for whatever they may find, ancient artifacts, traces of intruders, deposits of succulents to add onto our own, all kinds of things can be found out in the wilds of the Shifting Expanse. The first named captain of the Senku is Asahi, who often takes several of his fellow senku into the wilds for days on end before returning home, bringing home a vast array of resources for the clan.
Aside from the Senku, there's also the body of Kenkou, or guards that protect the city's gates.

Description from The Heights:
"The Leaders' Den
The Heights are located within the rocky cliffside of the territory, overlooking the absurdly large, mutated, hollowed out desert flora the clan calls home. The dragons here are responsible for everything that goes on in the clan, and without them, the clan would crumble.
Occasionally, some of the Eiji will travel to neighboring clans for a brief nesting period, to make good with the dragons edging their territory, and to offer them Takasa as a loyal friend and ally."
Description from The Courtyard:
"Within the succulent structure Takasa calls home exists the Crystal Courtyard, an area that naturally spawns minerals of all hues and varieties. Many dragons require such minerals for their crafts, as such, dragons residing in The Courtyard have a duty to maintain and nurture the growing gems and their ecosystem."
Description from The Observatory:
"Starcon / FlaunFlair
The dragons here have a unique bond amongst each other within the clan itself. They have a deeply rooted connection with the stars in the sky, and draw power and wisdom from them. To do this, they reside in The Observatory, a plateau at the top of a towering cactus one might confuse with the Pillar of the World."
