Uh-oh, looks like this swampy bee girl wandered a little too far from her home lair (#317304, LittleParade), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

Please avoid putting her in your hibernal dens and letting her stay too long in one place! Thank you!

Takemikazuchi, Mika for short, heard word that other dragons were feeling the same way she did. An unceasing yearning for adventure and discovery. While it pains her to leave the home that saved her when no one else dared, she knew one day she could return home with extravagant tales to tell.

Mika is a headstrong, independent dragon. Some may describe her as rather boyish and rather reckless, but she believes that that just means she's capable of handling herself. She can be forgetful at times, but always gives everything her best effort!

Dear Diary,

I'll be leaving my home very soon to start my adventure! I'm a little nervous I won't remember my way back home, but I'm hoping that keeping a diary will help jog my memory! I'll miss my friends here, but they've assured me that I'll find my way back one day!

Dear Diary,

When I first arrived upon this Arcane lair. I was stunned by the beautiful glowing flowers that grew along the perimeter, climbed up the trees, waved cheerily from flower boxes, and even the ones that hung as decoration from some of the kind dragons necks. Meeting the leaders of this fine lair was wonderful too. They escorted me to the travelers den where I almost immediately lay down to take a nap. But hours later I awoke to see a pale white imperial dragon walk into the den and settle down in the nest right next to me. We hit it off right away. I’m proud to say we had four beautiful hatchlings. And though we will soon be parting to continue down our separate paths, I know I will never forget Ebisu’s kind and smiling face.

~ Peridotgem5

Dear Diary,

A strong wind took me straight to the Windswept Plateau. I feel right as home here as everything's full of greenery and there are dragons of every flight, not just Windies. I fit like a glove and can hide in the swaying bushes of the grassy steppes thanks to my camouflage-like colors.
But, something's not right. While here, I met a hoard of other travelers and one of them mentioned something stirring in the Shifting Expanse. While I jokingly added that he must've felt the electricity that courses through the air itself, I got a reply that something was happening right under my nose. While I couldn't find out what exactly sat "wrong" with that particular one, I've still felt uneasy ever since. I think it's time I make a quick run back, just to check on things.
Unless this was all a ploy to make me leave their territory. But, why would there be so many others like me here then?

~ Strukla

Dear Diary,

Even though I came back home just to check on things, I ended up staying much longer than I originally planned. Since I've been back, a new dragon breed started popping up, and they look very cool! Takasa has made a great home for many of them, including Akae, who I've been talking to every now and then when I'm not out on border patrols. We're polar opposites, but I think we get along just fine! Tenjin and Ayao were just as happy to see me as I was them, and they convinced me to stick around a while longer.
I really did miss everyone here in the clan, and it was nice meeting some of the new residents as well, but the wind still calls my name. I enjoyed the extended break back home, but I think it's time to spread my wings again and venture back out into Sornieth! I've already said my goodbyes to everyone, so now I guess it's time to get going! I'll continue writing all about my adventures until I get back home!

~ LittleParade

I decided to stay in the Viridian Labyrinth for a while. A clan that took me in is a little weird - living so close to the Pox Consulate gives me the creeps. How can they be sure this place isn't haunted? But the dragons are friendly, and there's plenty of food, so, I guess, staying here is not so bad.
I've made a lot of friends here. The Aspen Grove's protector has proven a bit of a challenge, but turns out, once you look past her standoffish exterior, she's really not as intimidating as she looks.
I should continue my journey, but I will always remember my new friends.

~ nonbearnary

The stark majesty of the Shifting Expanse was jarring transition from the Viridian Labyrinth, but even though it looks barren the desert is still full of life. Clan Sparkfyre, where I stayed, is a place where everyone is always busy with some task or other and if you stand around long enough someone will give you a job. I learned a little bit about a lot of things here, I can solder now! I can replace a pipe fitting or splice together two lengths of cable. I’ll never forget what I was doing when I heard the news. I was celebrating the electrical pilons on an empty nest (the way lightening fight beats didn’t seem entirely safe to me?) when I heard that a cave full of stone dragons had been discovered. Everyone in this clan is very into science and they been following the news of the dig very closely.

When the call came from the capital for clans to volunteer homes for these new displaced living statues Clan Sparkfyre immediately answered the call. Preparations for their arrival became a little overwhelming so I started taking trips with the founder’s sons out into the desert just to get away from all the commotion. The arrival part was a lot of fun but seeing the new dragons reminded me just how big the world is and how much is left to see and I decided it was time to move on.

~Seespotbitejane

While I was in the Shifting Expanse, I couldn't help but think about home. It was just on the other side of the expanse, and my struggling to remember clear images of my friends' faces sent me packing towards home. It had been so long since my last trip home, and since I've been away, so much has happened. Eye vials became more readily available across the continent, and in larger varieties too. The Dustcarve Dig was organized, and resulted in the discovery of a long lost dragon breed, which strangely enough, I haven't had the opportunity to meet one. If they've made their way to Takasa, maybe I'll be able to introduce myself!

I finally arrived home earlier today to everyone's surprise. Akae and Hamachi jumped on me, and little Himawari even came to see me! Tenjin and Ayao welcomed me back, and I broke the news that I decided I would be here to stay this time. The clan threw together a huge feast for my homecoming, where I did manage to meet some of the new dragons, Sanae and Sayuri, a couple of succulent specialists (how lucky is it that they wound up at the only clan territory made entirely of succulents-), and one Obelisk without a name, but they were just stunning. They were radiant shades of pink and blue and purple and green- just about every color of the rainbow. Akae leaned over to me at the dinner and told me that they had just finished transforming in the workshop, and that they hadn't given themselves a name yet. Maybe when I properly introduce myself to them, I can help them brainstorm some names! I've met a ton of different dragons on my journeys, so I think I'll be able to properly inspire them!
I'm now writing from the comfort of my own home, in my own bed, and my own clothes! I've missed being back with my family, it truly never gets old being welcomed back with open arms. Tomorrow, Akae will take me on her rounds to get me back and familiar with the functions of the clan, and help me decide what I want to do while I'm back. I don't know what I'll do, but I'm just glad to be back.
