Urtica

Urtica, turned by Lestat himself (though of course he denies ever having done this, and refuses to explain further) for reasons unknown, now serves as his healer. She speaks to no one but her mate, and not even Renfeld has heard her voice. Born to a clan on the far side of the Scarred Wasteland, Urtica left shortly after reaching adulthood when her clan was struck by disease. She's never looked back, either, far too rationally minded to get tangled up in emotions like that. Some time after her departure, though, she crossed paths with Lestat. Though, of course, that story isn't known currently. For some reason, Renfeld was willing to overlook Lestat's turning her without asking permission first, and welcomed Urtica into the fray with open arms. A gifted healer, Urtica travels alongside her beloved and assists him when and wherever possible. Due to her diminutive size, she doesn't actively fight, instead remaining close to Lestat's side and healing him when needed. No one would ever know, but sometimes, in the dark of night, when the two are alone and resting, Urtica sings to her love in tongues unknown. |
