Aubin wanted to claim him but Que, knowing Aubin was a basically a child himself, shot him down
There were no Gaolers at the time to look after him
So Que being the only sensible one took him in
Most called him ‘Mait’ since it sounded similar to the word for friend in their language
Que, and only Que, calls him ‘Asune’
It’s the word for adored in their language
Mait became a light in the dark cave
None had seen a Gaoler before and it was a blessed welcome
What with Kem’s violent anger, Aubin being a arrogant child, Silvarel being a trickster
Que was happy to find another gentle soul
