Biography

The clan's resident health nut. Shanar carries a jar of fish oil with him everywhere he goes, and will never fail to offer you a bit if he's concerned for your health. Shanar does not believe in alchemy or healing magic - he insists that the best cure for any ailment is "sunlight, proper nutrition, and a good attitude."

Needless to say, he's not permitted to be around ill dragons.

Shanar will eagerly adopt dietary fads and advice from any clan or Flight he comes across, except for Arcane. (One time he took advice from one of them about the health benefits of low-dose scorpion venom and he almost died.) He will likely try to offer awkward advice about a Seafood-rich diet to anyone who will listen, but this should be taken as a sign of affection rather than condescension, as he does not give such advice to those he cares little about. The best way to respond is to politely thank him for his input, and that you will make more of an effort to include seafood into your diet (yes, even if you're a Tundra breed and have absolutely no plans to eat a fish in your life).

Shanar is more easygoing than most, though he is a hypochondriac and may become hysterical if he believes he is catching a disease. His favor can be won by complimenting his figure, offering a fresh bottle of fish oil, or by approaching him as a health guru for diet advice. Plan your meeting with him accordingly.
