Mudskipper: The poster child of fae adaptability and cherished captain of Clan Mavenlark's guard, Mudskipper's children have an awful lot to live up to, and many of them are keen on filling his boots - except Lamia, that is.

Mabsa: A merfae and Lamia's mother who sacrificed her sea-dwelling days to join the guard, Mabsa is revered by her peers. Lamia thinks she's bit of a show-off, though respects her mother too much to ever say such a thing.

Lamia likes to collect coins, endlessly fascinated by the variety of circular currency employed by clans across Sornieth. Her pockets are always stuffed but mostly worthless, much to the dismay of any would-be robber.

Lamia's heritage is littered with honors far beyond her interest. Her father is a powerful warrior despite being an eighth of the size of his adversaries, and her mother, the same - both excelling within Lamia's homeclan of Mavenlark and protecting its honor with righteous fury. They're the talk of the clan, and few have a bad word to spare about them. Lamia doesn't either, but it doesn't stop her from feeling a bit contemptuous towards the two - if she hadn't been born, she wouldn't have had to fill their shadows, and that's a legacy she never asked to inherit. While many of her siblings go off into various wars and leadership positions to see themselves into similar glory, Lamia has distanced herself from that, and travels the world alone. Becoming a traveler didn't feel like much of a choice - either she stayed in Mavenlark and be bugged into becoming her parents, or she left. She doubts she'll ever find a better lot in life than endless wandering, but secretly, she's hoping for one.
