Flamebringer IT BURNS!
Origins - How does one describe an origin that cannot be remembered? Raunak was a member of the Flamebringer bloodline, but when the gods turned on their heralds in the -Bringer clans Flame was the first to go. Raunak was too young to defend so he was hidden among the ashes. When the fighting was over, Raunak rose from the ashes, alone. The Ashfall Wastes are not a hard place for a Flamebringer hatchling to survive, but he had no training. He never learned about his powers and is very limited in speech capabilities. When the other -bringers tracked him down, not easily by the way, he had no idea what those creatures were, or that they were the same as him. Coincidentally, the day he learned of the -Bringers is also the day he learned about his powers, as he was trying to defend himself, and spewed pure lava from his maw. His first words in years were "IT BURNS!" He now works with the other -Bringers, and they try to teach him more social skills each day.
Personality - Raunak does not talk unless it is absolutely necessary. Many dragons find this to mean that he does not like them, but this is not true. Raunak is very appreciative of all that his friends and clanmates have done for him, but he has a hard time expressing this. Raunak enjoys rhythmic music, because it allows him to express emotions without speech. Raunak shows what he can not say by physical touch, draping his wing over a dragon he wishes to thank. Once again, those that do not know him find this display aggressive, as his wings are massive and could easily crush smaller dragons. He is not aggressive and would never hurt one of his friends, he has nightmares about what he would do if he did. Relationships - Raunak is a big softie, and he loves all his clanmates, though his favorite dragon and his best friend is Spearmane. Spearmane and Raunak spend many hours together, Spearmane teaching Raunak about the world and helping him with speech. In return, Raunak enjoys telling Spearmane about the different territories that he has seen. It is not an over-exaggeration to say that they are each other's worlds. Familiar - An Ultramel Amphithere, a cute familiar, and some would say not at all like it's owner. Raunak first met the familiar when Spearmane was introducing him to new creatures. Raunak was just learning simple descriptive words, as he pointed at the Amphithere and said "Scales!" This was such a cute moment that the Spearmane decided to just give him the familiar, as the Amphithere seemed to find this hulking giant interesting as well. Scales can often be found draped around Raunak's neck, enjoying his natural warmth. Raunak often speaks to Scales, as he finds it less stressful to practice his words on a creature that will not make fun of him. Clan Role - Raunak may not be good at speech or fighting, but he is a born and bred survivalist. He acts as the navigator and travel guide through dangerous territory because of his natural and learned skills in natural dangers. Quote:
