Prism Dragons hoard gold because the thing you most need is always to be found where you least want to look Resource Manager Prism falls into the long held myth that dragon's like to hoard gold. She loves gold. It's shiny and gorgeous and beautiful and she could never love anything else more. Ever since she was young, she collected whatever stray gold she could find and began to build her hoard. She never stole and never took what was clearly someone else's property. Despite what myth says about dragons with hoards being greedy and malicious, she does not fall into that category. She does have morals. It was difficult for her to move about as she religiously guarded her hoard to prevent any unwanted vermin from sneaking in and stealing from her. However, she is a dragon that quickly grows bored with one thing on repeat, so she does enjoy a change of scenery or routine every now and then. So, one day, she packed up her hoard and set off to find a new place to reside.

During her flight, she spotted a massive storm hovering over the centre of Sorneith and, deciding to not risk the longer travel time, went on through it. If she went around, she would take longer to find a place to rehome her hoard and that would put her at more risk of attack or theft. She didn't think the storm would be that bad. She was wrong. As soon as she entered the storm, the fierce winds threw off her balance and she got caught up in a violent whirlwind and tossed about until she couldn't tell which way was up or down, nevermind right from left. In the confusion and being tossed about, she lost grip of her bag of gold and it vanished from view faster than she could try and follow. Letting out a distresed roar, she fought and struggled against the winds, rising higher and higher until she emerged above the storm. Frantic for her treasure, she immediately plunged into freefall, hoping to find the ground and then be able to locate her precious treasure. Right before she hit the ground, she caught herself. It was another fight against the wind and rain, but she managed. On the ground, she searched and searched as much as she could, but could not find anything no matter how far and wide she searched. Even after the storm had long passed, she continued to search, but, eventually, after much time had passed, she had to admit defeat. Her treasure was well and truly lost. At a loss, she merely curled up in the first seemingly empty cave she could find, dejected and ready to just give up on everything. However, the cave was not indeed empty as she thought. No, it was the home of one male Banescale named Explosion. Explosion came home to find Prism moping and he challenged her presence. When she told him of what happened, he grumbled and said she could stay for a time. After a while, she eventually learned Explosion's area of expertise, that being using traps and making explosives, which does include fireworks. When she first learned, she begged him to show her some fireworks and he refused for a long time. Eventually, one day, he brought her outside during the night and slinked off to set some fireworks of his off before returning to her side to watch the show alongside her. It was then, underneath a sky bursting with the colours of the rainbow, that Prism fell in love with Explosion. From then on, they were attached at the hip. One day, Prism once again grew restless, but she didn't want to leave Explosion. Thus, she began pestering him to move on to another cave. Find another place to settle down. For a time, he was reluctant and always insisted that if she didn't want to be there anymore, she could always leave. However, he did learn that she didn't have a problem with him, but rather the scenery and he promised to truly think over the idea of moving. He did think about it and decided that it wouldn't be bad to move on, so they did. Eventually, they stumbled across a clan recently devastated by a plague and torn apart by arguments regarding who would lead the clan in the wake of the leader's death. Explosion wanted to ignore the problem and simply move on to another place to settle, but Prism wanted to see if they could help. Speaking with Acal and learning the situation, she asked him if she could help. He told her that he didn't want the two groups to continue arguing, but was struggling to compromise with Ilar, the leader of the opposing group to Acal's. Having told him about her past, he requested she help with managing resources between the two groups so that it might be one less argument to deal with. Happy to help, she agreed, settling in the unclaimed area between the two clans alongside others who also choose to remain unaligned with either group.
