(Dragon version of Prince Lamar of Atlantis)

As the youngest of 17 sons of the 8th son of Poseidon himself, Lamar was raised since birth to expect death and harm to be regularities. Though his mother was a mermaiden and protected him as a boy, he is a demigod and had to be separated from her. Prince Lamar, being a gillman and a royal of Atlantis, is treated with reverence by others, but is also sought out to be terminated by his father's other brothers and even his own older brothers, as all are eager to be the next in line to rule.

To escape this life of entrapped turmoil and paranoia, he sought to travel the seas, and the depths and the shallows, to learn more of the ocean and to seek refuge away from those who would try to assassinate him and pursue him. Lamar visited other kingdoms and decided upon seeing the happiness between other royals, that he would marry, and live far from his destiny in the hopes that he might not return.

He would manufacture and maintain his own paradise, upon land of all places.

When he announced he would be visiting the kingdom of Issandar, to seek marriage from the king's many mermaiden daughters, he went in disguise with a double to protect his identity. There he met a servant mermaiden named Marina, who was tormented day and night by the royal family with tasks and chores around the palace. He was smitten with her fairness, timid gentleness and simple beauty. But was most of all, moved by her deep sadness and delicate nature. When he had encountered her around the palace, she always seemed afraid and tired.

He no longer wanted a princess, he wanted Marina, to help her and to save her as well as quell the ache in his own heart. Though he had been seeing a princess the entire time instead, as Marina was the youngest of her royal siblings, and because her tail lacked more than three shimmering colors including gold, she was cast from living like royalty, and made to work as a servant.

Revealing himself after he had learned the truth about her, he sought the king's permission to have her hand in marriage. With some persuasion, he had convinced Marina to leave her home kingdom which was suffocating her and to come with him where he promised her a life of peace where she would never need to serve anyone. Despite his size and the fact that he was a grandson of Poseidon himself, he would abandon his entire kingdom, birthright and even the chance of immortality just to spend the rest of his life with Marina. His love would prove vast enough to be willing to give his very life to her alone, and deep enough for only his dearest love to find sanctum in.

Though together they live far from the kingdoms of seafolk, Lamar still has a terrible fate to face, should his curse contracted from the depths of the ocean return to claim his soul...
Still, his love for Marina may be just as strong as Marina's love for him, and just as everlasting...
