Galileo is a shy, sweet, and sensitive dragon who loves to explore nature and observe wild animals. He is rarely ever seen on the ground, as he's always on the wing exploring Sornieth for new species and making new friends on his scientific travels. His familiar Locke took a liking to him while exploring the Southern Icefield. He trusts her more than anything and discloses things to her he'd never tell his clanmates. As big and as powerful as he is, Galileo isn't a fighter, and would much rather make peace than use his physical strength in a conflict. He has only had to do it when he feared he'd be gravely injured, but always feels terribly guilty about it afterwards, even if his life was in danger. Amongst the Lair, he gets along well with most everyone, except some of the more mean-spirited dragons who don't like his meekness. However, Galileo isn't afraid to speak up if he senses injustice. He has a strong sense of justice and what is right and refuses to let dragons with ill intent get away with their evil goals.

Galileo is a savant at naming all species of plants and animals on Sornieth, and is almost never in the lair for more than two days at a time. He likes keeping to himself and is a solo traveler. To the other dragons in the lair, he's kind of an enigma. Some are mistrustful of him, thinking he's a traitor from a rival clan, while others pity him, wondering if him being the runt of the clutch got him used to being in everyone's shadow, and thus it became difficult for him to make meaningful connections. However, the youth of the lair take a liking to him, and as overwhelming as they can be for Galileo, he tries his best to tolerate and educate them.
