Shelby

Shelby was born blind. He often has disgusting black goop draining from his damaged eyes but does his best to clean up after himself. Because he cannot see, Shelby had a hard time finding a role in the clan. He hated being useless and wanted to be a part of something. There was one thing, though, that he was good at. The children in the clan love him. They often climb on his back and sit in between his wings as he walked about. Whenever he was in the garden, chances were that there was a hatchling curled at his side. Sapphire asked him if it bothered him and said if he wanted, she could ask the children to leave him alone. He responded saying that they were calming and he loved being around them. Sapphire then asked if Shelby might want to help out in the nursery, to which he excitedly agreed to do. More often then not, he can be found playing with the young dragons and listening to them tell or read stories! Sometimes they wrap his cane in pretty paper and other residents smile when they hear the rustling sound it makes.
