Sidanyis

stranger from afar...
but not really.


She may have been born in the Icewarden's domain, but that doesn't mean she's a local. Her earliest memories consist of running about the Shifting Expanse, trying to not get lost among the dunes, and thinking about whether her parents had found the cactus ball she'd hidden under their pillows.

Nothing really bothered her as a child... until she lost her way home.

All the dunes looked identical, the cacti too... in fact... was this the three-branched one next to the flowering one or was it the other one... Wait no... If this is the other flowering one then where is the one next to the two-three-pronged one?

She spent a little too long outside.

Where are all the familiar cacti? What's this one?! That's not a cactus at all! That's a... palm tree?

And had a horrible sense of direction.

This sand is weird, it's not like the other sands I've felt. Why is it so soft? Why is it so deep? Why is it... so warm here?

And just like that, land after land, Sidanyis wandered the southern regions of Sornieth, eventually finding her way to the Southern Icefield, and discovering her new home. However, just like her younger self who didn't stop searching, Sidanyis will never stop longing to be back in the Shifting Expanse, among the dunes, and among the cacti.
