Saga

A long time ago on Nesrith there were to races that ruled its lands. One of them being dragons and the other was humans. Throughout the years both races fought for power over the land. This constant fighting would have continued if it wasn't for the gods themselves getting involved. The gods showed both dragons and humans that they would be stronger fighting as one then against each other. Thus creating peace between the two races and a start to one of Nesrith's strongest empires in history.

The golden age of Nesrith was filled to the brim with innovation. Dragons taught humans how to wield magic and in return the humans taught dragons technology. This peace and prosperity would continue for countless generations. Until the humans discovered that they can tap into Nesrith's ley lines. Hearing of this discovery the dragons warned the humans that messing with the ley lines will lead to disaster. But the humans did not listen and so the dragons left in fear for their safety. They promised that one day they would return once the humans realize what they have lost. Unfortunately that would be the last time that dragonkind would ever see them.

When humanity unveiled their biggest project on a generator that was able to siphon energy from the ley lines. Many were excited for the project but there were few who opposed it. This included Saga who was a human at the time and went by a different name. On the day the project was supposed to used, tragedy struct. The generator ended up having a meltdown, taking itself and humanity with it. How Saga survived the explosion would be a mystery to not just herself but to the gods as well.

The magical fallout scarred the land of Nesrith. Magic became unstable and to those who somehow survived would have to deal with its side effects. Believing that she was on borrowed time. Saga decided to seek out the gods. Not asking for mercy but why would they forsake humanity. When she found and confronted them. Saga found out that the accident that have wiped out humanity was actually a punishment that the gods have made. A punishment that has gone horribly wrong. In her heart Saga knew there was no way her race would recover. Saga asked the gods what would they do so they could never commit this act of punishment ever again. The gods responded that they would need someone to remind them and Saga was not afraid to volunteer to be that person. What resulted from this deal was Saga gaining immortality, being turned into a dragon, and gaining her role as loremaster. But later on Saga will realized what other effects that this deal had as well.

A deal was struck, a bargain was made, and Saga's soul was sealed away.
