Biography
Aushedar the Adventurer
Clan Archaeologist | Digging Party Leader | Summoner of the Shrouding Mists
Clan Archaeologist | Digging Party Leader | Summoner of the Shrouding Mists
The very last thing Aushedar had expected was to become part of a dark plot in the making--but as he says, fate is hardly accommodating to one's lifestyle.
Although born in Plague lands, this highly intelligent Imperial traveled from them at a young age, unimpressed by his 'brethren' and their ways. His mother, born of Earth, instilled an interest for artifacts from a young age--and his father, born of Arcane, gave him the thirst for knowledge to carry out his mission. For countless years, Aushedar explored the beautiful world he felt blessed to be a part of. From deep in the mountains of the Cairnstone Rest, to the mysterious Hewn City, even bravely to the Leviathan Trench he traveled for his precious search of historical artifacts. The dragons he met along the way were just as intriguing, young or old. Nights settled by fires telling stories gave him life, but he could never bring himself to linger long--no matter how intriguing they were. Eventually, he found himself in the Viridian Labyrinth, specifically in a grove of ruins that happened to be the sanctuary of a very intriguing dragon: Valdis. While he's still not sure how it really happened, he found himself in the company of the great Ridgeback, who had been certain she'd frighten the Imperial away with her looks alone. Two nights, they spent together, talking from sun-up to sundown about anything and everything--even the painful history she'd been afraid to mention to anyone. For the first time ever, Aushedar felt compelled to stay. And while Valdis was hesitant to bring him around Vasilios, something deep down was equally compelling to keep him as close as possible. Eventually, the three growing eggs in her belly were deemed as the source. And yet, this proved a very dangerous discovery--as Vasilios had been completely bent on having no one but himself as father to Valdis' children. It was, to say, overwhelming. He hadn't intended to stay here, to become someone's mate...and certainly not to become a father. But, it had happened...and he'd protect them, no matter the cost. The day that the beautiful little ones left was far more dangerous than any of his explorations. Along with Valdis, he took 'center stage' in the protection of the defenseless hatchlings. The scars he bears to this day are a stark reminder that despite never seeing them, that they are safe and loved elsewhere. Every now and then, he swears that he glimpses a familiar pair of emerald eyes deep in the woods...but he's never had the courage to approach. So, for now, he continues to explore the ruins of the Labyrinth. Collecting beautiful artifacts to both study, and keep safe in the lair is still his source of happiness--along with Valdis, and his adopted daughter Deyanira, of course. Although he and Erebos didn't get along initially, the younger Imperial has even begun to call him 'father' from time to time. He thinks it's adorable--especially when it seems 'accidental,' and his cheeks flush the most precious shade of pink. Roaming the world just doesn't seem to quite stand up to the little things such as that, any longer... And he's just fine with that. |
