What's wrong with his eyes?
(he's a typical smalltown football player type dude. lots of not-close friends. they're mean to his sibling maelrys, bc they're a pretty ecentric dragon. has a secret affinity for geography that he doesn't really like to talk about (mae knows, but only because they're nosy. rodran appreciates having someone to talk to, though).
rodran's down to earth, keeps mae from hurting themself. he gets dragged into their adventures by being the only sensible person around. he gets annoyed with mae, wishes they'd just put down the experiments and theories and take care of themself. but he never vocalizes that frustration.
he maybe wants to know a little about his eyes, but mae's curiosity puts his to shame. it would just be nice to understand why they're like that, but rodran's accepted his fate of never being the smart one. he's ok with that.)
