...Lennox came over the southeastern border from Ashfall Waste. He stumbled upon the clan by pure luck and asked to join. Avis welcomed him and his pet iguana.

While Avis did not ask, Lennox's history was long and dark. After proving to be an exceptionally skilled metalworker, dragon scouts recruited him, along with other high-profile Fire flight dragons, to develop a secret device for Flamecaller.

One day, Lennox was in the middle of metalworking for the project when he tripped. His mistake was unforgivable. Hot metal tongs crashed into the special device, ripping apart and melting eons of work on its delicate circuitry. It was a miracle nothing exploded. All the same, Lennox was essentially lying next to a time bomb.

When the head of the project found out, he was furious. With the rage of the entire Fire flight department upon him, Lennox stumbled out of the workshop and flew. He knew he would be banished, if not killed.

The dragon flew for days and nights, until he could no longer bear the exhaustion and pain of his singed scales. At last, he roosted within a cave, but an assassin sent by the project head found him and attacked him in the middle of the night. The battle was ruthless, and Lennox was pinned to the floor when an iguana threw itself into the attacker's eyes. Lennox managed to gain an advantage. Escaping with the iguana clinging to his head, he continued to fly until he was absolutely certain that he had crossed the border into the Windswept Plateau.

When he at last collapsed, he was barely conscious, operating on pure instinct. Avis found him lying on the ground at the edge of Avis territory, treated him, and took him in as a clan member.
