Biography

Zadkiel

I'm sorry it took me so long out here
For me to find my way back home.
I didn't have a reason, for why I stopped believing,
But I needed you to know
That I'm right where I belong.

- Good Charlotte; Right Where I Belong.

Pioneering|Analytical|Social
Zadkiel is the clan's resident scientist and dreamer. Curious about everything and anything, Zadkiel brings back anything he finds interesting and will quietly study it in his lab. He prides himself in his logic and straight-forwardness, skills necessary of any good scientist, though when he is not on the job Zadkiel is certainly capable of illogical nonsense.

Though he likes to view things in an unbiased and scientific way, Zadkiel is a social dragon and gets along well with the others. Though his tendency to analyse everything is often unsettling at first encounter, his easy and relaxed nature make him well respected in social circles. He does, however, have a bad habit of blabbing secrets, so don't tell Zadkiel something that you wish to keep to just a few people. It is a well known fact that dragons should avoid gossiping if Zadkiel is in the room.

Councillor of Science
Zadkiel is in charge of all research and science that is conducted within the clan. Any kind of experiment or research must first be approved by Zadkiel before it can begin, though many of the applications are approved. Zadkiel's office is a small room

The Pursuit of Knowledge

Ever since he was born, Zadkiel wondered about the world around him. As a hatchling his curiosity knew no bounds, and he would often wonder away from his supervisors to inspect some rock or plant he had found. Many of the adults in the clan found him a nuisance, because not only was he a handful, he also asked a lot of questions. Constantly.

Like any arcane dragon should be, Zadkiel was a dreamer, but he was also a scientist at heart, tackling problems in a straightforward and logical manner that would make a lightning dragon proud. And though he loved the Starwood Strand where he grew up, it became apparent to Zadkiel that he didn't belong there, so when he was older, he left home to find the place where he truly belong, a place that would satisfy his adventurous and scientific desires.

Zadkiel travelled for many months before he found his way to the Dusk Garden. Each day was a new adventure to him, and he would jot down everything he experienced in his journal. Before moving to the Wispwillow Grove, Zadkiel spent some time with a hospitable clan in Dragonhome, which he found quite the experience. To witness the barren beauty of the landscape and the remains of the Great Pillar in which the gods slumbered was hard for Zadkiel to explain in words. But, as much as he enjoyed his stay with the clan, he knew that Dragonhome wasn't where he belonged; for Zadkiel, the place lacked excitement and adventure. So he packed up his stuff, thanked the clan for their hospitality, and headed into the Wispwillow Grove.

Zadkiel was much more at home in the grove. The Tangled Wood was teeming with excitement and suspense, and he relished every moment. One day, he stumbled onto Neith, who was out on patrol. The two adventurers got talking, taking a great liking to one another. Zadkiel wanted to accompany Neith back to her clan so he could meet the rest of them, and Neith, knowing that Nisha would never turn away a dragon, agreed to do so.

Zadkiel got along immediately with the other clan members, and Nisha offered Zadkiel a place to stay for a few days while he gathered and organised his supplies, an offer that has extended indefinitely. Zadkiel is determined to unravel the secrets of Krysatra's pool, the small pool hidden at the back of the den, as they all know that the pool holds power. With the help of Tsuritsa, the librarian, he manages a small office in where he keeps all his findings (though the two often argue about his housekeeping habits).

"If there is something to be discovered, then I intend to discover it. Oh and did you hear..."
- Zadkiel
