Growing up, all the children of the dragons who operate a magical nuclear reactor (similar to the one that birthed the Arcanist, though nowhere near its scale) have to play with are spare parts, an assortment of tools, and, if they are lucky, a pool of contaminated coolant. Fortunately, due to their distant relation to the Plague Wastebug subspecies, what levels of radiation that would have killed a normal dragon long ago have little to no effect on them at all.

It matters not what paths they eventually choose for themselves, all learn the laws of science and the rules of magic; as for what they decide to do with this knowledge is a question only time will answer.

Varro's an unlikely addition to any team looking to pull a heist off: she's as loud as her plumage, and anyone who doesn't spot her coming a mile away will definitely hear her.

Of course, that's the whole point. Varro is the distraction, the noisemaker. She can be a grifter if the occasion calls for it, but she's got the tendency to make up lies that she will eventually struggle to keep up with.

That's half the problem. Varro lives for the work. She doesn't settle down, can't settle down if she tried. There's always the next con or the next big heist. If there isn't adrenaline in her veins and danger at her heels, she goes off and looks for trouble, never mind the string of friends and lovers left in her wake.

So, if you find yourself drawn to her, there's no need to lock up your hoard of treasure and gems. Varro is no master thief, though her colleagues may be--as the distraction, she's much more likely to steal your heart. -WRITTEN BY SHANNCRAFTER

For now, she's staying in the inner city of the Forgotten Pantheon. She's been partying the days away in The Red Herring; thankfully the other patrons don't seem to mind her drunken antics as long as she leaves the bard alone.
