Raith Runestone

Raith is a halfbreed, but many dragons are. Except Raith tends to hide that, as in shame. He doesn't understand where his parents went or if they loved him, but he continues to try anyways. He is kind of quiet and reserved, but he is always open to listen to people. He may seem distant or unattached, but he is in tune with more than you think. Although Ridgebacks are known to hate water, he hopes to use more water magic and storm magic in the future. He would rather study magic than figure out his past since he believes one should look forward and move on rather than sit and rot in the sorrows of the past. He seeks knowledge everywhere he goes, studying runes, spells, books, tombs, etc. He would rather read or listen than talk or express. His familiar, Alvaro Argus, is as closed up and as wise as he is. It is still wary of its owner due to a darker past of being treated badly in its past pacts, but it trust him more than its previous "owners". Raith is always gentle and cautious around the familiar, recognizing an abused animal when he sees one. He cares about his familiar just as much as he cares for his work.

Alvaro comes from Spanish and Germanic origins and means "cautious"
Argus is Greek for "watchful guardian"

Alvaro has had many pacts before Raith, and many of them were not kind or fair to it. Raith uses the he pronoun around his familiar, but it is currently unknown what gender it is, or if it even has a gender. Having been brutally harmed in its last pact, it is now wary and shy of everyone and everything. It allows only Raith to open its pages, but even then that is a scarce occurrence.
