Background:

Lazarus' childhood was tumultuous, as he was a young warrior in training when the great coup happened. He remembers the clan being held hostage, his captain mind-controlled and their leader and progenitors missing or dead. His mother was held hostage to cow his father into submission, and Lazarus can still remember the helplessness. By the time order was restored, he was newly orphaned, both parents lost to the destruction of the Emperor. He was always a somber child, but the catastrophe all but removed any humor he had.

He is nicknamed The Silencer for his quick and efficient brutality in combat. Lazarus is a dragon of big action and few words. It is unknown what sort of thoughts pass through his mind, for he divulges little, seeming to only take pleasure in hunting and battle. When he does choose to speak, he is aggressively straightforward, unlike his conniving father, and harsh and unforgiving of weakness, unlike his mother. Lazarus is relentlessly competitive, carrying himself with quiet confidence in his abilities to surpass and dominate all who dare to challenge him.

Lazarus was born with stunted wing growth that rendered him unable to naturally fly without the augmented wings he crafted and affixed to himself. He obsessively repairs even the smallest damages to the augments and protects them with sturdy armor, also of his own invention. His lack of natural flight is a considerable sore spot, and other dragons would do well not to point it out, lest they suffer his sudden and tempestuous rage.

Even though he carries himself with composure, he still struggles with the emotions related to the trauma of his youth. Now that he is fully mature and a well-seasoned warrior respected by his fellows, he is much more at home in his own skin. Solana, his mate and confidant, has helped him to process his emotions in a healthier way, though he still retains his vicious fighting style.
