Children of the cattle rustlers (though one of them has more experience in peddling teas than stealing livestock) are raised, as one might expect, doing some less-than-honourable deeds. Certainly not murder, but a few are partial to robbery to get what they want.

Of course, most of them pick up the skills of their parents’ trade: cattle rustling. Those who dislike the physical aspect discover other ways to make themselves useful, finding ways to alter brands, steal calves, deflect suspicion at auctions. Those are all fine and good, but there’s nothing quite like stampeding cattle under cover of night, adrenaline pumping in your veins and wind howling in your ears. And after, watching the sunrise bathe the endless plains in red and gold.

They can chase whatever fate they want, seek whatever fortune lies in wait-- an honest life will never feel this good.

Quincy's what you would call a fellow of simple pleasures. He likes orange-and-pink sunsets, snakeskin boots, rustling cattle, and not dying-- not necessarily in that order.

As a cattlerustler, he loves everything that comes with the job. Well... almost everything. He'd much rather prefer it if the odds of getting a faceful of buckshot weren't quite so high. He'd also like to go into town every once in a while without fearing that someone caught a glimpse of his face on his last job and recognises him while he's getting drunk off his *ss in the old saloon.

He is... looking for something. A change of career, perhaps? He does like looking after the cattle, and more than once his companions have had to pry him off a particularly doe-eyed calf when the time came to sell them at auction.

But this life is all he's known. He's too soft to be an outlaw, too thrill-seeking to be a civilian. Who could possibly be willing to give a no-good ruffian of a cattlerustler like him a chance? 		x
