Biography

tunim burakgazi
she/her | pansexual | egg-bearers | the warrior wife
jbK47Of.png
|| Background
Despite her now firm position as the warchief of the Children, Tunim was not raised to be a fighter. Instead, she was hatched on the Island Ship, Namárië, to two peacemakers. Her parents taught her— as they taught all their hatchlings— to value serenity above all else, and to preserve the well-being of others at the expense of her own. Everything in life seemed set up for Tunim to follow in her parents' footsteps, up until the moment that she didn't.

Upon the introduction of mainland dragons to the Island Ship, Tunim became interested in her heritage as a Plague dragon, and when she learned about the Flights from said dragons, her heart suddenly radically changed. She could no longer stomach the idea of rolling over on her belly instead of defending those she loved, and fighting could, in fact, be a useful tool, one she could devote her life to. And the moment she came to that realization, Tunim was cast from the Namárië, abandoned on the shore, never to set foot there again.

From then on, Tunim flung herself head-first into her new meaning of life. She spent many years learning from the most seasoned of Plague's fighters, stubborn enough to bite back at the world when it bit at her, and with that fire in her soul, she quickly became a fearsome warrior in her own right. But a warrior on her own is only half a warrior; Tunim needed something to fight for. This came to her in the form of the Children, whose paths she crossed with when one was dispatched to protect a clan she was staying in. She traveled to the Bone Spire immediately, and upon seeing her skill, Aldith offered Tunim a permanent place at her side.

|| Current
Now finally with something worthwhile to protect, Tunim is more than happy to stay where her path has led her. She is known as the fearsome warrior wife of the Children, a harsh but fair tutor in the art of war, and a master battler and strategist above all else. Under her expert tutelage, Tunim hones the Offspring of the clan into fine hunters of the undead, and sends them off into the world with skill and prestige.

She does not love her wife the same way her fellow Egg-Bearers Ionachta and Plácido do, but does not mind providing Aldith with children; the two have become friends through their arrangement, and Tunim considers herself lucky to also have fine company in her new life. Here, there are always younglings to train, and herself to better. Tunim is more than content knowing that she is truly living up to her own ideals.

|| Notes
◈ It wasn't a requirement for Tunim to earn her Blood-Mark to become an Egg-Bearer; however, she willingly went through the training in order to prove her worth.
◈ Tunim is in her mid-forties.
◈ Scar is a Foo that Tunim wrangled herself and trained— with Jarek's help— into being her familiar. He is now unfailingly loyal, and accompanies her on patrols around the Bone Spire's territory.
◈ Before she became an Egg-Bearer, Tunim spent a short time as a mercenary hired out from the Tangled Wood. However, she elected to go back to the Scarred Wasteland, finding the constantly shifting alliances of the Wood's criminal underground to be demoralizing.
◈ Tunim wears the pelt of an Undying Featherback, the first monster she ever defeated by herself in combat.
