Biography


eurydice is a painter. she loves to paint portraits, and is well-known in the art community. she lives in the center of the city with her husband, orpheus. her younger brother, eros, sends her his unfinished poems for her to criticize.

"darling, sing for me," eurydice whispered to her lover. she lay nestled beside him, safe and warm.

orpheus kissed her on the forehead. they had closed the shop for the day, and now they lay, exhausted, by the fire. he strummed a few melancholy notes on his lyre. "you're beautiful, you know."

"really?"

"really. you inspire me."

"i love you," eurydice said, closing her eyes.

"i love you too," orpheus said. he sang softly and sweetly to eurydice as she fell into the depths of sleep.

orpheus wrapped her in his wings and watched the fire as it crackled. the warmth of the flames and the rhythm of eurydice's heartbeat lulled him to sleep, peaceful and dreamless.
