SaffronSapphire is my Chosen Progenitor.

I was introduced to Flight Rising by a young friend dealing with depression. I never could forget those beautiful dragons. A year or two later, living pretty much confined to one room by my various disabilities, and struggling with depression and writer's block-- writing being the only art left to my impaired hands & eyes-- I finally signed up myself. I needed some niche that was simple, pure happiness. I remembered an old, old name I used to use long ago when I could go to conventions-- Aquafilia, water-daughter. Inspired by that chose Water as my Flight and thus blue as the color of my Dragon's eyes.

When choosing her colors, I remembered that someone once told me "Yellow is the opposite of Shame." Her unapologetic brightness makes me so happy. I just had to name her for that wonderful primary contrast between her body and her eyes.

July 21st 2020 - tomorrow her and Blue Diamant's first babies will hatch. As a celebration gift and through the splendid generosity of the Seafoam Sidekicks Familiar Bank, I was able to get her and BeeDee a pair of geckos, each complementary to their colors. <3


SaSa delights in the company and affection of many dragons of the clan, most especially her best gal, Midsummer. She is, however, extremely picking about partners for making babies.

Kingfisher is one of the three Tundra who came home with Tigerlily at the end of Tiger's career working with Tundra who had become separated from their clans and lost the trail home. Kingfisher is a wiry, edgy Tundra. The clan suspects Spiral in his ancestry... that, or peacock. He is impossibly vain and any unoccupied moment will find him combing and twirling his own fur.
