Andromeda is the personal assistant of Opportunity, his masterpiece. It plays a critical role in helping the Nocturne carry on experiments and collecting data on the Primal Curses.
It was the only machine which managed to absorb enough magic to match the one of primals and thus the only truly reliable one in the eyes of Opportunity.
He, of course, trusts the other machines as well, though after the incident it seems he has taken to consider only Andromeda as the companion that it is, leaving Almach and Sirrah as simply that: machines and cheap clones of Andromeda he managed to put together.
