Biography

[Theme song: CYMATICS · Nigel Stanford]

A dragon of unknown origins who is leading the research on the effects of the primal curses on dragons and the possibility of reversing them.

Lixiss found the hatchling as a Nocturne while scouting the Shrieking Wilds, apparently having hatched by an abandoned egg though his eyes were a deep, chocolate brown.

She gave him the nickname Opportunity but no one knows his real name as he introduces himself like that to everyone.

He feels very grateful to the clan leader for raising him and has decided to help the woods in his own way, he was the one to take care of Zalaam in her first months of life until her curse became too strong for him to stay close to her.

He sees his research as the only way to stay close to the blood scaled Imperial.

I have decided to track down any progress and discoveries I may find about the Primal Curses. That is the role I have decided I will have in the clan. It's the only way I can repay her, both of them actually.

Some dragons here in the clan already had been in contact with several of these beasts and they've left impressive signs of their presence over said dragons.

For them too, I need to find a cure. They will all be saved.

Today is the day I begin my research. It's taken me a while but for now two dragons have accepted to help. They are Kasumi and Florian.

The two of them were cursed by the same Primal, a Nature one, as they both have blooming tree branches growing out of their backs. The leaves have an unnatural ivory colour, never flower and never wither.

I have collected some samples but for now I haven't been able to identify the plant species. The bark though, was unmovable. Both dragons reported themselves that the branches don't hurt them and have stopped growing after an indefinite amount of time but that both are unable to break off any. The bark has a surprisingly warm temperature to the touch and both dragons have no problem with flight although the wood appears to be whole in the inside.

I may need to conduct more aggressive experiments on the tree bark. See it's reaction to poison, excessive sun or darkness exposure and try to cut off a piece again.

For now I feel hopeful.

It's been a week since my last entry. I have talked to the shaman and medics of the clan, none can identify the plant species. It seems to be a completely new being.

I dipped some in several Serthis venoms and they all came out unscathed after bathing in them for a whole day.

The clan Head Mage sensed an arcane type of blood magic emanating from them but he wasn't able to tell me more. They were left unscarred by fire magic as well.

They seem to glow in the darkness of the night but not under artificial darkness. They may be able to feed on both sun and moon light but that is still to be tested.

There has been a significant amount of dragon eggs coming from the Forum. Whatever that Imperial is planning cannot be any good. The Ridgeback that brings the eggs to the nest seems to be very knowledgeable, I may have to ask them for help too.

No news about the plants. They remain a mystery. For now they have been dubbed as Glowleaves.

Florian and I have tried to break off a small twig off his back to no avail. I find his stoic mask quite fitting of his character, he hasn't complained once and didn't seem bothered by the end results. His eyes though, appeared to be telling something else, relief? Acceptance?

I was left wondering what he's hiding.

That brought forth another question: can Primal Curses affect the heart and soul of a dragon as well as its body?

Regardless of what monstrosity has happened I will find a cure.
