Biography

7wv9OeJ.png

Uh-oh, looks like this starry-eyed tundra wandered a little too far from her home lair (178205, Allude), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

Abeona is no stranger to the unfamiliar.

If there's one thing she's come to know from travelling, it's that home feels less like home each time she returns. It's the same place, and for the most part, the same faces as well. Still, it feels stagnant. Familiar but unfamiliar, no matter how many times she returns.

Her heart aches for change.

She left home without much of a word to anyone, which frankly wasn't anything she hadn't done before, but this time would be different. This time she'd be gone for longer than she ever had before, hoping that when she returned her homeland would finally feel like something's changed in her absence. Her chipper attitude has served her well thus far in making friends in new cities, towns, and settlements of all kinds, but past companions have warned her that one day her naivety may land her in trouble.

Regardless, her worries are few and far between. Yet another thing that remains the same.

178205, Allude - home lair

She ventured onward into the Starfall Isles, where she became enchanted by the allure of the Starwood Strand. Within this magical place, she came across the Amaranth Clan where she enjoyed a lengthy stay. She found the culture of the Amaranth Clan to seem more Nature-element-like, in how the clan was littered with strange 'amaranth' flowers. She assumed that's where they got the name from. She found the place to be cosy, so she lost track of time and stayed for longer than she expected. However, she knew inside that she wanted to see more of what Sornieth has to offer. So with that thought, she bid the Amaranth Clan adieu.

Abeona eventually made her way into the Sunbeam Ruins, and then south to its border with the Shifting Expanse. There, she found a small trading town by the name of Saibhreas. She had seen many cities during her travels, but she hadn't seen one with such interesting markets. She visited stalls with beautiful tapestries, incredibly polished gems, delicious smoked meats and fish, and unique plants from all across Sornieth. In the textiles district she saw furs and pelts from animals and beastclans creatures in all eleven territories, and in some of the more curious shops she found many cursed artefacts and enchanted automatons. There were also several booksellers, with stories written by many different dragons. Some titles were recognizable, and some were newer or rarer. She did her best to visit and speak to every shopkeeper, but there were so many that it was impossible. The townspeople were all so different -- she met an ice mage, a necromancer, a forest spirit, and a priestess for the Cult of the Eclipse all in the same quarter (not traveling together, obviously). She also had the good fortune of meeting Calvin, an aspiring detective in the city. As lovely of a city as Saibhreas is, there were many crimes and many dangerous troublemakers, and he aimed to get to the bottom of it. She felt safe at the Travelers' Inn, though she didn't plan to stay long.

Abeona had o idea that signing in to a shadowed lair would result in a long stay. She wasn't sure if she needed it, considering that her journey had only just begun, and the clan, whilst warm, was overly rambunctious, and in a constant state of chaos.

She assisted the Forgotten Clan in a move that saw the entire group make a new home in the Murkbarrow Close, still secluded, yet less crowded. Although she had made friends with many of the dragons, she finally chose to continue her adventure, hoping that, perhaps next time, she won't have to stay there for so long. Joining her temporarily, a spiral named Omen tagged along to their next destination.
